Superintendent – Construction Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead fabrication construction activities on our Dubai project. The role combines on‑site leadership, safety oversight and coordination with engineering and project management teams to ensure delivery according to specifications, schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage all fabrication construction work, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines and company standards.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering and other disciplines to align resources and sequencing of activities.
• Enforce HSE protocols, aiming for a zero‑incident workplace and ensuring all personnel follow safety procedures.
• Maintain rigorous quality control, verifying that construction outputs meet industry codes and project quality requirements.
• Optimize resource utilization, including workforce scheduling, equipment allocation and material procurement.
• Supervise subcontractors and vendors, monitoring performance against contractual obligations.
• Prepare and update comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop the construction team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Lead implementation and verification of all McDermott policies and procedures, ensuring mandatory training is completed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in supervising large‑scale construction or fabrication projects.
• Strong understanding of construction execution strategies, workforce management and safety standards.
• Proven ability to resolve technical, operational and organizational issues on site.
