Superintendent (I&C) – Onshore EPC Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Superintendent (I&C) to lead commissioning and operation‑readiness activities for a major on‑shore EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating with EPC contractors, sub‑contractors, licensors and vendors to ensure safe and timely delivery of sales gas and condensate assets.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub‑contractors throughout the I&C scope.
• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to align commissioning activities with their procedures.
• Monitor progress of commissioning for sales gas and condensate areas and review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Review commissioning manuals, verify mechanical completion certificates, and ensure readiness for MC and RFSU certification.
• Participate in commissioning meetings, troubleshoot obstacles, and approve punch‑list close‑outs.
• Ensure handover methodology complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of commissioning/operation‑readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar role on oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with exposure to sour‑gas, hydrogen production or hydro‑desulfurization.
• Proven experience on mega EPC projects.
