Supervisor – Lifting Operations

About the role

The Supervisor – Lifting Operations is responsible for implementing ADNOC’s new Lifting Standard (HSE ST‑019) within the assigned area, ensuring safe and compliant lifting activities across ADNOC Drilling projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ADNOC Lifting Standard ST‑019 in the area of authority.
• Promote staff engagement in integrity management and continuous improvement.
• Assure the integrity of all lifting equipment and oversee maintenance, inspection, and replacement activities.
• Provide technical input for integrity performance standards, inspection strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate deployment of approved third‑party inspectors for equipment certification.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC Permit‑to‑Work (WMS) and Job Safety Analysis requirements.
• Review, approve and, when required, escalate lifting plans (routine and non‑routine).
• Select appropriate lifting appliances and accessories, prepare detailed lifting plans, and verify load and soil stability.
• Brief all personnel involved, monitor execution, and suspend lifts if conditions deviate from the plan.

Required profile

• Proven experience with lifting equipment operations, maintenance and inspection in an oil‑and‑gas or heavy‑construction environment.
• Familiarity with ADNOC lifting standards, permit‑to‑work systems and job safety analysis.
• Ability to review, approve and coordinate complex lifting plans.
• Strong technical knowledge to provide input on integrity performance standards and inspection criteria.
