Supervisor Rigging

About the role

ADNOC Refining is hiring a Rigging Supervisor in Abu Dhabi to supervise maintenance activities related to rigging and heavy lifting. The supervisor monitors work execution, guides teams to follow safe practices in line with HSE requirements and works closely with the participating OPCOs (ADNOC Refining, ADNOC Fertilizers and Borouge).

Key responsibilities

• Supervise assigned personnel on rigging and heavy-lift jobs and receive planned and ad hoc job requests from the CMS Business Support Team.
• Review techniques, allocate assignments and give technical guidance; inspect completed work against defined procedures.
• Coordinate rigging and material-handling activities and supervise heavy-lifting, manual rigging, material handling and high-elevation field lifting.
• Monitor work execution so it complies with statutory, company and international standards, and review rigging plans with the Rigging Engineer.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety toolbox talks with contractor teams and ensure checklists for lifting activities and equipment are compliant.
• Carry out regular site inspections for safe working conditions, certified equipment and tools, and use of required PPE.
• Help prepare department budgets, investigate significant variances, and implement approved policies and processes.
• Design and implement tools and techniques to improve process quality and efficiency, and contribute to emergency response and MIS and progress reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience in rigging and heavy-lifting maintenance, preferably in a plant in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge of ADNOC's health, safety, environment and fire policy, procedures and regulations.

Required skills

• Manual rigging, lifting procedures, rigging plans and rigging techniques.
• Good communication of signals to crane operators.
• Computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD.
• CMMS knowledge, report writing, presentation skills and teamwork.
