Supervisor, Slickline (A)

About the role

The Slickline Supervisor coordinates, controls and executes field operations in line with company and client policies, procedures, statutory regulations and good industry practice, ensuring client requirements are met on schedule. The role also supervises the field operations unit staff and activities so that personnel and equipment are ready to run wireline jobs as required by the contract.

Key responsibilities

• Select the wellhead X-over and ensure compatibility with the wellhead.
• Ensure all operational measurements and computations follow company procedures and standards.
• Conduct regular job briefings and debriefings with the supervisor; hold pre-job toolbox talks and follow up on daily checklists.
• Prepare electronic permits to work, allocate safety equipment and prepare weekly activities for the supervisor.
• Keep job reports accurate and delivered to customers on time, and follow up daily with customers on operational matters.
• Report daily to the supervisor on tool shortages, equipment deficiencies and safety issues.
• Audit the site and give documented feedback to the base supervisor and FSE.
• Ensure equipment stays within operating specifications, is inspected, certified, pressure tested and colour-coded, with documents available on site and at base.
• Maintain truck inventory and the wire logbook, and verify that crew members have HSE passports and the mandatory client training.
• Evaluate operators' and helpers' skills and give feedback, and coordinate with the supervisor on scope of work and problems.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client asset integrity management codes of practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant field experience on rigs and rigless operations, including at least 2 years at supervisory level.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Excellent computer skills.
• Knowledge of wireline operations and slickline equipment.
