Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure that all supplied components meet EDGE Group's engineering and manufacturing standards. This role involves coordinating inspections, managing repairs, and working closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, organize, coordinate and supervise all inspections and repairs.
• Review engineering and manufacturing specifications to guarantee compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers on rejected remanufactured parts and address spare‑parts failures.
• Supervise the quality of repaired items throughout the warranty period.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and analyse related data.
• Oversee the supply of spare parts required for the repair process.
• Provide technical advice to other departments on materials engineering and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse test results, conduct training for relevant personnel and maintain records of all actions taken.
• Facilitate corrective actions for supplier quality issues while maintaining confidentiality of company information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, logistics, electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar quality engineering role.
• Project‑management experience is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence or ability to obtain one.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using computer‑aided design tools such as CAD or AutoCAD.
