Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist will execute day‑to‑day supplier quality activities for the mechanical commodity group, covering investment casting, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, electronics and standard parts. The focus is on First Article Inspection (FAI) review, SCAR tracking and supplier performance data.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and review FAI packages per AS9102, verify dimensional reports, material and special‑process certifications, and flag non‑conformances.
• Log, distribute and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) through to closure, following up on root‑cause analysis (8D) and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and traceability documentation in line with AS9100D, supporting internal and customer audits.
• Support supplier Quarterly Business Reviews and Supplier Improvement Plans, and compile KPI reports for the commodity group.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of supplier/supply chain quality experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of AS9102 (FAI) and AS9100D requirements.

• Investment casting, CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication processes.

• SAP/Ariba or equivalent ERP platforms.
