Survey and Track Inspector for High-Speed Rail Project

About the role

The Survey & Track Inspector will conduct site surveys, setting‑out of civil works and inspect permanent way and track works on the PMEC High‑Speed Rail Project between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The role ensures that all works meet design specifications, tolerances and safety standards from construction through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and setting‑out for civil works, establishing control points, benchmarks and reference grids.
• Inspect permanent way and track components, verify materials and workmanship against drawings and standards.
• Attend and witness track testing activities, compile handover documentation and as‑built records.
• Raise and track non‑conformance reports, maintain accurate quality records and support audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in survey, inspection or site supervision, including at least 2–3 years on railway projects.
• Ability to work accurately in a high‑speed rail construction environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with total stations, GNSS, digital levels and track geometry trolleys.
• Knowledge of track geometry, alignment, construction quality procedures and survey/track inspection methods.
• Familiarity with Leica or Trimble equipment and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
