System Engineer – OpenText ITOM (NNMi/NA)

About the role

Xebia is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement and maintain OpenText NOM solutions for clients in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into robust monitoring and automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and upgrade OpenText NNMi and NA tools, including LDAP and OO integrations.
• Develop custom monitoring, reporting and automation scripts using Perl, Python, Shell or PowerShell.
• Integrate NOM solutions with existing IT infrastructure and other management tools.
• Create and maintain operating procedures, documentation and training materials.
• Provide on‑site support, troubleshoot issues, and implement security controls.
• Mentor junior staff and deliver coaching as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience with OpenText NNMi/NA, network monitoring and automation.
• Proven ability to manage scope, meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.

Required skills

• OpenText NOM, NNMi, NA administration and upgrades.
• LDAP, OO, Optic Data Lake integrations.
• Network monitoring protocols (SNMP, SNMP Traps, SSH).
• Scripting languages: Perl, Python, Unix/Linux Shell, PowerShell.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, servers, networks and applications.
• Knowledge of uCMDB and OBM (certification a plus).
