System Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a System Security Engineer to design, deploy and maintain enterprise‑grade security platforms in Abu Dhabi. The role covers video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom systems across Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom solutions ensuring high availability and performance.
• Install, commission and support security hardware and software on both Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues and apply firmware, security and cumulative updates.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, troubleshooting guides and training modules.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Networking teams to guarantee data protection and network integration.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of devices, software versions and license information.
• Assist project and operations teams in planning upgrades, migrations and procurement of required equipment and licences.
• Manage maintenance contracts, track product life‑cycle and ensure compliance with support agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent technical school qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of IT support experience with at least 3 years as a security system engineer.
• Proven experience deploying, installing and maintaining enterprise video surveillance, access control and public address/intercom systems.
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems, hardware and IP‑based security platforms.
• Ability to read technical manuals and understand network infrastructure and TCP/IP concepts.

• Access Control platforms: Dormakaba, Salto, Lenel, Idemia/Morpho, Suprema, HID.
• Public Address & Intercom platforms: Bosch, Commend, Zenitel, Aiphone.
• Server OS: Windows, Linux.
• Server hardware and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, IP‑based security).
