Systems Architect – Turbofan Propulsion

About the role

The Systems Architect will define and maintain the global system architecture for EDGE's turbofan propulsion programs, ensuring technical coherence across all subsystems and supporting the transition from concept to certified product.

Key responsibilities

• Define and support the functional architecture and system breakdown structure to meet performance targets.
• Establish MBSE methodologies and tool suites for the Turbofan team.
• Allocate, manage and trace system‑level requirements, leading trade‑offs between performance, cost, weight and durability.
• Maintain interface control documents (ICDs, FICDs) and ensure architectural consistency throughout development phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in turbofan propulsion, aerospace or similarly complex engineered systems.
• Strong understanding of turbofan architectures, test‑plan validation and engine performance parameters.
• Experience with certification schemes (CS‑E) and safety principles (FHA, PSSA).
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply‑chain and commercial teams.

• Engine component knowledge (FAN, LPC, HPC, HPT, LPT, TRF, OGV, etc.)
