Tailor – Guest Clothing and Uniform Services

About the role

The Tailor at Aloft Abu Dhabi is responsible for maintaining guest clothing and employee uniforms to the highest standards. This full‑time position involves hands‑on sewing, repair, and distribution of garments while ensuring a professional appearance throughout the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms using hand stitching, adhesive patches, or a sewing machine.
• Distribute clean uniforms to staff, record uniform inventory, and manage damaged items by sending them for repair.
• Document guest laundry, dry‑cleaning, and pressing requests in line with company procedures.
• Inspect uniforms for damage, remove substandard items, and issue replacements.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of related tailoring or laundry experience.
• No formal education requirement; high school diploma or GED is acceptable.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
