Talent Development Manager – Learning & Development

About the role

As the Talent Development Manager you will own the full learning journey for our hospitality venues, from first‑day onboarding to leadership development. You will design programmes, build frameworks, and deliver training in front‑of‑house, back‑of‑house and management settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training for front‑of‑house, back‑of‑house and leadership teams.
• Build and maintain the Standards of Excellence framework and a dedicated Training Academy.
• Manage the digital learning platform and coordinate with external training partners.
• Coach managers and chefs to become confident trainers.
• Audit on‑the‑job training and daily briefings, closing identified gaps.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and a specialised programme for newly appointed managers.
• Own the full appraisal cycle, turning review outcomes into promotions, salary increments and development plans.
• Identify high‑potential talent early and develop succession pipelines for all venues.
• Partner with universities on internship programmes and keep job descriptions up‑to‑date.
• Design and execute colleague engagement surveys, recognition programmes and wellbeing initiatives.
• Report on training, engagement and performance metrics to senior leadership and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in training, talent development or HR, with a track record of designing learning programmes.
• Strong ability to coach and develop managers and operational staff.
• Experience managing onboarding and performance appraisal processes.
• Excellent analytical skills to measure impact and present insights to senior management.
