Tax Manager

About the role

Crescent Petroleum is seeking a Group Tax Manager to lead tax reporting, compliance and advisory across its regional operations. The role involves shaping tax strategy, ensuring adherence to UAE and Iraq tax regulations, and supporting business transactions with tax‑efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tax reporting and compliance for all jurisdictions, including corporate tax, withholding tax and VAT.
• Develop and implement tax strategies, prepare returns and manage tax audits.
• Maintain compliance trackers, review tax programs and coordinate monthly payments.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance and legal teams on tax planning and risk mitigation.
• Provide tax advice on transactions, restructuring, bids and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Ensure accurate accounting of current and deferred taxes in ERP systems and coordinate group reporting with authorities and auditors.
• Manage VAT compliance, respond to authority queries and keep updated on regulatory changes.
• Report to the Senior Director of Accounting & Reporting and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of taxation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional certification (CA or ACCA).
• Knowledge of UAE ESR, VAT, Corporate Tax and IFRS.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with corporate restructuring.

• Power BI (advantageous)
