Teacher - Business Studies and Economics

About the role

Aldar Education, the leading education group in Abu Dhabi, is recruiting a Business Studies and Economics teacher to join its schools at the start of the 2027/2028 academic year (August). The school offers a range of curricula across many locations in Abu Dhabi, from nursery through to adult education.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements, liaise with parents and work with curriculum support staff to support children's development.
• Teach and learn: understand the curriculum, organise classroom provision and resources, plan sessions for the whole ability range, motivate pupils and assess them in line with school assessments.
• Use assessment data recorded in Target Tracker to inform planning and intervention, and give feedback to parents at parent-teacher conferences.
• Follow the school's behaviour policy, manage classes effectively, maintain good relationships with pupils and act as a positive role model.
• Take responsibility for a class's progress, work in a curriculum action group, support school events and run a weekly ECA each term.
• Communicate with parents and carers about students' achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Previous experience working with students whose first language is not English.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check; offers are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance.
