About the role
The Sharjah British International School is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver Arabic language and Islamic Studies programmes to students aged 6 to 18. The role involves teaching both native Arabic speakers and learners with no prior Arabic background, as well as providing Islamic Studies instruction in Arabic and English.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Arabic language lessons for diverse learner groups.
- Teach Islamic Studies curriculum in both Arabic and English.
- Develop age‑appropriate lesson plans and teaching resources.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support the international school environment.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic.
- Strong background in Islamic Studies.
- Experience teaching Arabic and/or Islamic Studies to students aged 6‑18.
- Preference for teacher training and experience in an international school setting.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Arabic language.
- Knowledge of Islamic Studies curriculum.
- Ability to teach in both Arabic and English.
