Teaching & Bus Assistant

About the role

The Teaching & Bus Assistant supports classroom activities and ensures safe transportation of students. Working on‑site at Aspen Heights British School, the role blends educational support with bus duties, requiring strong safeguarding awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation of materials, and individual or group support for children.
• Read stories, organise art and craft supplies, and display children’s work.
• Supervise children during transitions, playtimes, cloakroom use, and while boarding or alighting the bus.
• Transport students safely, conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, manage attendance, and enforce seat‑belt use.
• Administer first‑aid, follow emergency procedures, and report incidents according to safeguarding policy.
• Maintain confidentiality, uphold school reputation, and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of school experience as a bus or teacher assistant.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Professional attitude, reliability, and respect for UAE cultural expectations.
