Team Leader - Internal Audit

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Team Leader for Internal Audit to oversee audit processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor processes and records against GAAP, laws, industry and company standards.
• Develop risk and control matrices, audit programs and issue recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support process owners in designing, documenting and assessing internal controls.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead audit engagements throughout the annual audit cycle.
• Validate financial status and operating procedures, ensuring proper governance and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (minimum 4 years).
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CA or CRMA.
• 5‑8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or a similar industry, preferably with a large audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, IIA Code of Ethics, COSO and COBIT frameworks.
• Understanding of IFRS principles.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Knowledge of COBIT framework.
• Familiarity with IFRS principles.
