Technical Contracts Manager (Engine)

About the role

The incumbent will lead technical sourcing, contracting and vendor management for Etihad Airways Technical. This role oversees a portfolio of OPEX and CAPEX contracts valued at approximately $1 billion per year, covering engines, APUs, components, BFE, IFE, wheels and brakes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies and high‑value RFPs for engines, BFE, IFE and components.
• Negotiate contractual terms, manage disputes and ensure alignment with legal, finance and CAMO stakeholders.
• Maintain the technical vendor footprint, contract summaries and supplier risk management processes.
• Lead vendor performance management through regular reviews, dashboards and SLA monitoring.
• Implement fit‑for‑purpose contract administration processes within governance frameworks.
• Identify and drive process improvements using digital tools and solutions.
• Coach and mentor department staff on contract and sourcing best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of airline or aviation experience in procurement or contract management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Engineering and maintenance experience with BFE, engines and component contracts.
• Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value contracts with major OEMs such as Boeing, Airbus, GE and Rolls‑Royce.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skills.
