Technical Director - Electrical

About the role

James L Williams Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director – Electrical to lead and drive our engineering division at a strategic level. This senior leadership position oversees the Electrical Design Team on complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct all engineering and technical operations across projects.
• Oversee complex, multi‑discipline design and construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and UAE local authority requirements.
• Manage engineering budgets and support procurement and project execution strategies.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and major equipment selections.
• Represent the company in client and authority meetings.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams while driving technical excellence.
• Support business development initiatives with strong commercial awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in MEP/building services engineering.
• Proven leadership experience in complex engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and UAE authority regulations.
• Commercially driven with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
