Technical HSE Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Technical HSE Specialist to provide expertise in technical safety across design and engineering activities for our projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures compliance with ADNOC standards and relevant codes while supporting the EPC contractor and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve technical safety designs and engineering deliverables from consultants and EPC contractors.
• Coordinate technical safety activities within the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) and with ADNOC engineering, operations and site interfaces.
• Perform regular technical reviews, layout, model and design assessments to guarantee quality and code compliance.
• Support equipment sizing, selection and standardisation initiatives.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Contribute to the development and analysis of design options and business models for optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in technical safety, design review and compliance within the oil & gas or related industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC project specifications, international codes and best industry practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors.
