Technical Manager – Architecture & Design (3‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead architectural technical delivery on a landmark infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role spans concept, design development and construction stages, ensuring that designs are fully coordinated, constructible and aligned with project cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of architects and technical professionals through all project phases.
• Convert concept designs into detailed, constructible documentation and execution‑ready solutions.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of architectural deliverables from concept through construction.
• Identify design risks, scope gaps and variation opportunities, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support estimation and procurement teams with technical inputs and contingency planning.
• Review contractor bids, shop drawings, specifications and material submissions.
• Conduct site audits to verify compliance with approved drawings and standards.
• Facilitate technical workshops and act as the primary interface between design, estimation, procurement and site execution teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in architectural delivery for large‑scale residential, retail, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Proven experience in Design Development, Construction Documentation and Shop Drawings.
• Strong background with EPC or main‑contractor environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical or architectural teams.
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM platforms.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction practices and materials.
