Technical Procurement Officer

About the role

The Technical Procurement Officer will manage the procurement of spare parts, components, tools and equipment required for the airline’s fleet and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures that all purchases comply with airline standards, airworthiness regulations and Airbus‑approved specifications while delivering cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main interface between internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure timely delivery of technical items.
• Develop procurement strategies, operating procedures and supplier KPIs to achieve optimal quality and pricing.
• Negotiate commercial contract terms and prices in line with airline procedures, quality standards and OEM specifications.
• Evaluate and pre‑qualify new vendors, coordinating with Quality Assurance and Finance.
• Monitor existing vendor performance, manage contract renewals and identify alternative providers when needed.
• Establish credit references and account set‑up procedures with Finance, resolving pricing or payment issues.
• Collaborate with Stores Inspector to address discrepancies, damages or mismatches.
• Support AOG desk and logistics teams for urgent requirements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date database of suppliers, pricing, transactions and payments.
• Prepare and follow up on quotation requests, purchase orders, exchange and loan orders using the inventory control system.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of airline‑approved standards, airworthiness regulations and Airbus/OEM specifications.
• Experience in technical procurement, vendor evaluation and contract management within the aviation sector.
• Ability to work closely with finance, quality assurance and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a results‑oriented mindset.
