Technical Product Owner - Airline Operations (Service Delivery)

About the role

Emirates Group IT is looking for a Technical Product Owner for Airline Operations (Service Delivery) based in Dubai. The TPO acts as the front door to several product engineering teams, owns their backlogs and leads the lifecycle of technology products in the Airline Operations, Crew Management and Digital Channels domains, partnering with business counterparts to turn concepts into operational results.

Key responsibilities

• Own story content, acceptance criteria and end-story sign-off across team backlogs, keeping stories ready for future Program Increments and refined with the team
• Capture, refine and prioritise technical debt and non-functional requirements across all sprints, and include BAU, ceremony and spike activities within available capacity
• Contribute to PI demos with other Product Owners and define metrics to measure the success of prioritised work
• Identify and raise risks and dependencies back to the Product Portfolio backlog, and attend key Product Management meetings such as PI Planning
• Help build a community of Product Owners and contribute to Product Management communities and scaled agile practices
• Work with teams to capture and consolidate team-driven innovation ideas for the Technical Product Manager community

Required profile

• Degree or honours (12+3 or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in information technology or another field
• 2+ years of practical experience as a Product Owner/Manager in a team-facing capacity, with a track record of delivery at pace
• Strong understanding of the Crew Management domain, crew qualifications and regulatory compliance, crew lifecycle and self-service, briefing and departure operations, crew tracking, operational communications in normal and disrupted operations, and leadership roles

Required skills

• Global Product (CSPO/SAFe/PSPO) training and certification
• Familiarity with or application of the AI-SDLC in recent rapid product delivery at scale
• Experience in a scaled agile framework across multiple initiatives and around 50+ teams is an advantage
• Well-versed in product management tools for software delivery and up to date with regulatory changes affecting Emirates Group
