Technical Scrum Master - Airline Platforms

About the role

techcarrot FZ LLC is looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master with a strong airline background to lead agile delivery across its Booking, Post-Booking and check-in platforms. The role works with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver customer-facing products such as reservations, ancillaries, servicing and frequent flyer programs.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum practices and promote continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners to keep a well-groomed, prioritized backlog aligned to business goals.
• Remove impediments and manage cross-team dependencies, especially across PSS, GDS and check-in integrations.
• Track and report delivery metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time, predictability) to leadership.
• Engage in technical discussions on architecture, APIs and integrations to support sound delivery decisions.
• Coordinate release planning, risk management and production readiness with engineering, QA and DevOps.
• Support scaled agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums) where applicable.

Required profile

• 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 4-5 years as a Scrum Master in agile software delivery.
• Strong airline domain experience covering booking (shopping, pricing, availability, reservations, payments, ancillaries), post-booking (changes, cancellations, refunds, re-accommodation, check-in, servicing) and check-in (frequent flyer programs, accrual, redemption, tier management, partner integrations).
• Working knowledge of airline systems such as Amadeus, Sabre or similar PSS/GDS platforms.
• Preferred: certifications such as CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master; experience with SAFe or other scaled agile frameworks; experience with distributed or offshore teams; bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Technical background in software development or engineering, with an understanding of microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Strong facilitation, communication, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.
