Technical Support Engineer

About the role

The Technical Support Engineer provides proactive technical assistance throughout tendering and project execution phases. Working closely with sales and operations teams, the role ensures all technical documentation, calculations, and design deliverables meet client and regional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings and related documents to define system design requirements.
• Perform calculations and analyses such as pressure‑drop, flow, and other hydraulic studies.
• Prepare project‑specific method statements, technical proposals and cost estimates in line with client specifications.
• Create detailed project drawings (system layout, cross‑sections, electrical and hydraulic schematics, construction and discharge plans) using AutoCAD.
• Generate BOQ items from client drawings and assist in bid evaluation.
• Stay updated on industry standards, product developments and client requirements to propose cost‑effective technical solutions.
• Coordinate multiple projects, maintain documentation control and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits with Project Engineers and Operations Supervisors as needed.
• Produce ad‑hoc AutoCAD drawings and collaborate with internal teams such as purchasing, logistics, sales and accounting.

Required profile

• Experience in technical support for engineering projects, including design, calculation and documentation.
• Familiarity with project tendering and execution processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
