Technical & Workshop Manager (Dubai, UAE)

About the role

The Technical & Workshop Manager will lead the UAE workshop operations, ensuring high‑quality vehicle maintenance, reliability and cost efficiency. Reporting to the Country Manager, the role blends hands‑on workshop management with broader technical leadership across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily workshop activities, manage budget, monitor productivity, turnaround times and vehicle availability.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, oversee preventive and corrective work across mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and bodywork areas.
• Analyse breakdown data, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Maintain workshop facilities, tools and safety standards, and ensure proper housekeeping and waste management.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and control workshop purchasing costs.
• Support the Country Manager with technical strategy, budgeting, fleet specifications and supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a vehicle workshop or maintenance team in a fleet, rental, transport or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, vehicle diagnostics and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Experience dealing with technical suppliers, negotiating contracts and controlling budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical staff on‑site.
• Hands‑on credibility with mechanics and ability to solve complex technical problems.
