Technician 1 BMS

About the role

The Technician 1 BMS will supervise the facilities team at Atlantis The Palm, ensuring reliable operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building‑management‑system (BMS) integrated equipment. The role involves allocating daily tasks, leading troubleshooting, and maintaining five‑star service standards across the resort.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technicians, allocate daily tasks and preventive‑maintenance activities.
• Lead troubleshooting and rectification of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and BMS issues.
• Monitor system performance, alarms and operational parameters.
• Coordinate with Operations, BMS and Engineering teams for system optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, SOPs and facility standards.
• Verify work quality, close work orders and report deviations.
• Support shutdowns, emergency response and critical operations.
• Train, guide and mentor on‑site technicians.
• Escalate major faults and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of facilities experience, supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS coordination, pumps and controls.
• Ability to read technical drawings and lead teams.
• Good reporting, communication and basic computer skills.
