Technician 3 Painter

About the role

The Technician 3 Painter will maintain the visual standards of Atlantis, The Palm by delivering high‑quality painting and finishing work across guest rooms, public areas and external spaces. Working within a luxury hospitality environment, the role balances meticulous craftsmanship with minimal disruption to guests and hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform painting, repainting, touch‑up and decorative finishes in rooms, corridors, restaurants, banquet halls and other public areas.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and applying primers before painting.
• Match paint colours and finishes to existing décor and hotel standards.
• Repair damaged walls, ceilings, woodwork and drywall prior to painting.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains, sealants and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Inspect areas regularly, identify cosmetic repair needs and complete work orders within set timelines.
• Maintain clean, safe work zones and protect surrounding surfaces during and after work.
• Coordinate schedules with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to minimise guest impact.
• Monitor paint and material inventory and report replenishment requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or hospitality painting environments.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and colour accuracy.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple work orders and coordinate with other departments.

• Surface preparation techniques (cleaning, sanding, scraping, crack filling).
• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Colour matching and decorative finish application.
• Use of primers, varnishes, stains and sealants.
