Telephone Operator

About the role

We are looking for a professional Telephone Operator to be the first point of contact for our guests. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, ensuring each interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service and creates a memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Answer guest calls warmly and professionally, greeting guests by name.
• Coordinate with all relevant hotel departments to guarantee seamless service delivery.
• Provide accurate information about hotel services, local attractions, and guest profiles using the Opera system.
• Process long‑distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet.
• Manage the wake‑up call sheet and ensure timely calls.
• Operate the switchboard, facilitating fast internal and external call transfers.
• Take and relay messages for guests and management according to standards.
• Uphold environmental, health, and safety policies throughout all activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Telephone Operator, Guest Service Agent, or similar hospitality role (preferred).
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Clear, pleasant, and professional telephone manner.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple calls and guest requests efficiently.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel systems.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Positive attitude, well‑organized, and detail‑oriented.
