Test Engineer - PCBA

About the role

Eaton’s Dubai hub supports Middle East operations, and the Test Engineer – PCBA will develop, validate, and maintain PCBA test procedures in production. The role ensures high quality standards, supports new product introductions, and drives continuous improvement in test processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain PCBA/FG test procedures, work instructions, and equipment maintenance plans.
• Provide level 2 & 3 maintenance for ICT, Flying Probe, and functional test equipment, including calibrations.
• Support industrialization programs with process flow charts, PFMEA, PPAP, and DFM reviews.
• Track defect rates, analyze OEE, and implement continuous improvement projects (SMED, Kaizen, VSM).
• Act as technical liaison for other Eaton plants and EMS partners, defining CAPEX needs and supporting quality audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing test in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes and IPC‑A610 Class 3 standards.

Required skills

• ICT, Flying Probe (Takaya programming) and functional test equipment operation.
• Root cause analysis using CI tools, OEE analysis, MTBF/MTTR tracking.
• Experience with SAP and MES for test data management.
• Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies (SMED, Kaizen, VSM).
• Knowledge of ESD safety procedures and IPC‑A610 Class 3 compliance.
