Testing Engineer / Operator for Gearbox Testing

About the role

RENK is looking for a skilled Testing Engineer/Operator to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will work onsite, conducting performance tests on repaired and overhauled gearboxes to ensure they meet strict operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Run stand and test cycles on gearboxes before and after repair or installation.
• Operate test benches, diagnostic equipment, and specialized tools with precision.
• Prepare detailed test documentation and reports for commercial handling.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions using analytical methods.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals to support testing activities.
• Collaborate with supervisors, team members and customers throughout the testing process.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or vocational training in mechatronics/automotive technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical repair, gearbox or engine testing, preferably in the defence sector.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team.
• Basic English communication skills.
