Toolpusher - Drilling Vessel

About the role

Stena Drilling is hiring a Toolpusher for a drilling vessel. The Toolpusher controls all drilling operations and related activities during their shift, supervises the Driller and ensures work is carried out safely and efficiently in line with approved procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Control all drilling operations and related activities during the shift, including drilling, reaming, coring, fishing, running casing, tubing and cementing.
• Ensure operations follow the approved Operator's Instructions and Drilling Programme, the Drilling Operation Manual, RSWMs and Bridging Document agreements.
• Report deviations from approved procedures to the Senior Toolpusher and supervise the Driller, allocating tasks and providing adequate supervision.
• Provide cover for the Driller as required and supervise the running and retrieving of subsea equipment.
• Manage and monitor the Planned Maintenance System, ensuring maintenance entries are recorded in Maximo and keeping an accurate tubular inventory.
• Prepare drilling reports, check operator instructions and calculations, and advise the Senior Toolpusher of impending downtime.
• Ensure drillers know space-out and shut-in procedures, check kick sheets and monitor trip sheets.
• Help subcontractors run their jobs and cooperate with them.
• Act as barrier owner and barrier verifier under the SECT process, comply with the Management of Change principle, and take part in accident and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Current Level 4 IWCF well control certificate.
• Previous experience as Toolpusher on an anchored or DP vessel.
