Trade & Finance Operations Analyst (Letter of Credit)

About the role

This position reports to the Finance Manager and is onsite in Dubai, contributing to the Electrification in UAE. It supports the end-to-end processing and administration of Letter of Credit (LC) transactions, ensuring they are accurately recorded, properly documented and completed in line with banking requirements, LC terms and conditions, UCP 600 rules and internal procedures. The role coordinates between the business, banks and internal stakeholders and minimizes operational, financial and compliance risks.

Key responsibilities

• Receive original LC issuance, amendment and negotiation documents from banks and keep them safely under control.
• Maintain the LC tracker and accurate transaction records, and follow up on document acceptance, discrepancies and bank queries.
• Review LC submission documents, interpret terms and conditions and prepare documents against the LC terms and required document list.
• Apply detailed knowledge of LC terms, UCP 600 rules and customer requirements to process documents correctly.
• Prepare LC discounting requests in line with business instructions and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, banking, business administration or economics; master's degree is a bonus.
• 5-7 years of experience in LC handling, trade finance, documentary credits and international banking operations.
• Hands-on experience with LC issuance, advising, amendments, confirmation, document presentation, examination, negotiation, discrepancy management and settlement.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and reconciliation skills, and stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple LCs, deadlines and high-volume transactions with accuracy and compliance.
• Preferably has receivable collection experience and SAP user knowledge.
