Trading Operations Specialist

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Trading Operations Specialist to manage end‑to‑end physical commodity transactions across global markets. The role involves executing trades, coordinating with multiple internal teams, and supporting the growth of the company’s international business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full trade lifecycle for commodities such as grains and seeds, from contract negotiation to settlement.
• Coordinate with logistics, operations, finance and legal teams to ensure timely execution of shipments and payments.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends and supply‑demand dynamics to inform trading decisions.
• Develop and maintain trading models, forecasts and analytical reports using Excel.
• Collaborate with risk and finance functions to track profitability and manage commercial risk.
• Identify new market, product and regional opportunities to support strategic growth.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and trade documentation requirements.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in physical commodity trading, preferably with grains or seeds.
• Proven track record in managing international transactions and commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of commercial risk management, import/export operations and Incoterms.
• Fluent English; Russian language skills are an advantage.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel for business meetings and industry events.
