Training and Development Officer

About the role

The Training and Development Officer will design, deliver, and manage learning initiatives that boost employee skills, knowledge, and professional growth within the university. The role also supports broader HR functions, including data management and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs by collaborating with department heads, reviewing performance data, and analyzing skill gaps.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate training sessions, workshops, and seminars both in‑person and virtually.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure HR systems and records are up‑to‑date.
• Measure training effectiveness through surveys, feedback, and assessment tools, adjusting programs as needed.
• Propose new initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
• Develop and monitor annual professional development plans to achieve high attendance and ROI.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including QHSE requirements.
• Perform additional HR‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of diversified HR experience, with at least 2 years in a similar training role; higher‑education experience is a plus.
• Advanced written and spoken English and Arabic communication skills.
• Proven ability to interpret policies and advise managers and staff.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑driven, and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
