Training and Development Officer

About the role

The Training and Development Officer will design, implement, and evaluate learning programs that boost employee skills, performance, and career growth while aligning with Al Masaood Energy’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs through performance data, competency gaps, and stakeholder discussions.
• Align training initiatives with business objectives and workforce plans.
• Develop annual training plans and learning roadmaps.
• Design engaging programs (classroom, virtual, e‑learning, blended).
• Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions, and capability‑building activities.
• Coordinate with internal SMEs and external training providers.
• Ensure learning content is practical, relevant, and easy to apply on the job.
• Support leadership and talent development initiatives.
• Measure training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance indicators.
• Track participation, completion, and impact on performance.
• Continuously improve programs based on data and feedback.
• Partner with HR, managers, and leadership to support employee development.
• Provide guidance to managers on coaching and on‑the‑job development.
• Support career development and succession planning initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
• Certification in Training & Development (e.g., CPTD) is an advantage.
• 2–4 years of experience in training, learning & development, or HR.
• Proven ability to design engaging training content.
• Experience in training & competency design and implementation.
• Knowledge of Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
