Transaction Monitoring Analyst – Backlog Project

About the role

We are looking for experienced Transaction Monitoring Analysts to join a fast‑paced financial crime project for a leading financial institution in Dubai. The contract role focuses on clearing a significant backlog of transaction monitoring alerts while adhering to internal policies and UAE regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and investigate large volumes of transaction monitoring alerts for potential suspicious activity.
• Identify unusual patterns using pre‑set rules and AML typologies, close false positives, or escalate genuine cases.
• Draft clear alert narratives and escalation summaries in line with policy.
• Work within tight SLAs and productivity targets to achieve backlog clearance objectives.
• Collaborate with team leads, quality assurance, and compliance to ensure auditability and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of AML transaction monitoring experience, preferably in a financial institution or consultancy.
• Working knowledge of UAE regulatory expectations and international AML frameworks (e.g., FATF, Wolfsberg).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying suspicious patterns.
• Self‑motivated, able to meet high alert volumes and daily review targets.

Required skills

• Experience with transaction monitoring systems such as Actimize, SAS AML, or FICO.
