Transport and Compliance Manager

About the role

Hermès Middle East is looking for a highly analytical Transport and Compliance Manager to oversee international air freight, regional exports and local distribution across the UAE. The role focuses on building a data‑driven logistics function, ensuring shipment visibility, regulatory compliance and continuous cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments across domestic, regional and international networks, ensuring service level and cost targets.
• Develop and maintain a KPI framework covering the full shipment journey, monitor performance and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee import/export operations, customs clearance and documentation for UAE and GCC markets.
• Lead carrier and freight forwarder performance reviews, challenge service gaps and negotiate improvements.
• Coach and develop a transport coordination team, set objectives and ensure accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of international logistics experience, with at least 5 years managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC customs regulations, free‑zone procedures and CITES requirements.
• Proven ability to translate operational data into clear reports and drive process improvements.
