Travel Business Development & Operations Manager

About the role

SoulSteps is looking for a Travel Business Development & Operations Manager to turn ideas into commercially viable, operationally flawless departures. You will work directly with the founder to develop and launch premium, experience‑led journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop international travel products and group departures, designing logical, experience‑led itineraries.
• Source, negotiate and manage relationships with hotels, DMCs, transport companies and activity providers.
• Build detailed trip costing and profitability sheets, compare suppliers and secure better rates and commercial terms.
• Manage bookings, confirmations, payment deadlines and supplier communication, and prepare operational documents such as rooming lists, manifests and traveller information.
• Assist with visa and destination‑entry requirements, handle operational issues before and during trips, and maintain organised records of suppliers, rates, contracts and trip costs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of relevant travel/tourism experience with strong international destination knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience creating and operating international itineraries and dealing directly with hotels, DMCs and activity suppliers.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong commercial negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several departures simultaneously, stay calm under pressure and take ownership of problems.

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets for travel costing.
• Negotiation and supplier contracting.
