It follows a three-month initiation and training period in the UK, then a four-year assignment in Abu Dhabi, UAE. - Lead the training needs analysis and design of the knowledge transfer and mentoring program, and act as the in-country point of contact for CBL activities.
- Support the installation of the CBL at a UAE site, manage the lab backlogs, perform system-level upgrades and maintain lab equipment.
- Run in-lab M&S projects, develop project plans and objectives, choose tools such as Ansys and MATLAB, validate results and give SME input on their interpretation.
- Mentor apprentice Technical Leads and Systems Engineers through on-the-job training and OJT.
- Advise on software development policies and procedures, and work with reach-back support engineers to maintain expertise in CBL topics.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and a recognised qualified trainer.
- Program management experience at Collins Aerospace, familiarity with its procedures, and experience teaching and mentoring students.
- Experience in military communications systems (datalinks, networks, radios, RF) and in leading technical teams.
- Ability to obtain immigration and work permit authorisation for Abu Dhabi for four years and access to UAE Ministry of Defence locations.
- Understanding of Arabic culture and sensitivity to the Islamic environment; Arabic is preferred.
Required skills
- Preferred: CMSP, systems engineering, cybersecurity, AI, Prince II or PMP, and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Preferred: experience with STKs, software adapters, AI agents, MATLAB, Ansys and agile software development.
