Unit Manager - Operating Theatre Complex

About the role

The Unit Manager will lead the nursing team in the Operating Theatre Complex, ensuring patient‑centric, evidence‑based care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and management guidance to the nursing team.
• Ensure evidence‑based patient care practices align with clinical standards.
• Develop employees and foster an environment that promotes team engagement and positive patient experiences.
• Manage clinical and non‑clinical resources cost‑effectively to enhance safe patient care.
• Monitor compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards for continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (essential); Master of Science in Nursing or related field (desired).
• At least 3‑5 years senior nursing experience in a private hospital (essential); 5‑10 years preferred.

• Implementation of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation, evaluation).
• Presentation skills.
• Knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Cost management principles.
• Quality management and governance standards.
• Risk management principles and best practice.
• Stock control principles.
• Understanding of UAE healthcare regulatory framework.
• Workforce planning and scheduling.
