About the role

The Uranium Fuel Buyer Lead will drive the procurement of nuclear fuel for Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, ensuring a reliable, cost‑effective supply chain. This senior position oversees tender development, bidder evaluation, negotiations, contract award, and ongoing contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tender documents for nuclear fuel supply contracts.
• Evaluate bids, lead negotiations, and recommend contract awards.
• Create and update a rolling procurement plan aligned with power generation forecasts.
• Monitor market trends to secure supply at the lowest possible price.
• Report procurement costs and schedules to senior management.
• Prepare presentations on fuel needs and procurement activities.
• Engage with suppliers to build relationships and stay informed on industry developments.
• Manage signed contracts to ensure timely fuel fabrication and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of supervisory experience in nuclear fuel procurement or contract administration.
• Proven experience negotiating international nuclear fuel contracts.
• Experience working with nuclear and regulatory agencies.
• Strong background in financial analysis, business process analysis, and economic forecasting.
