Utilities Operator (DGD)

About the role

The Utilities Operator (DGD) is responsible for operating and monitoring process plant and related facilities, ensuring safe and efficient production in line with company procedures and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out operational tasks safely according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform routine equipment checks, report defects, and coordinate maintenance.
• Adjust and monitor speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during start‑up and shutdown.
• Prepare plant equipment for maintenance and ensure synchronization with other systems.
• Receive chemicals, maintain stock registers, and prepare chemical batches following HSE rules.
• Operate machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
• Obtain work permits, monitor contractor activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies.
• Prepare KPI checklists and contribute to performance reporting.

Required profile

• Ability to follow SOPs and HSE procedures rigorously.
• Capability to conduct routine equipment inspections and report issues.
• Competence in handling chemicals and preparing batches safely.
• Willingness to obtain work permits and supervise contractor activities.
• Readiness to act as fire‑fighter or safety officer in emergency situations.
