Vendor Coordinator

About the role

Wood is hiring an experienced Vendor Coordinator for its Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role starts office‑based and will move to the on‑shore project site, where you will manage vendor activities throughout delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all vendor site activities, including equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Act as the primary point of contact between vendors, construction teams, engineering, QA/QC, procurement and the client.
• Review vendor schedules and ensure alignment with overall project construction and commissioning timelines.
• Monitor vendor mobilisation, manpower, tools and equipment readiness.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, site regulations and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Facilitate technical discussions to resolve site issues and verify punch‑list completion.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly vendor coordination reports and attend progress meetings.
• Support contract administration by verifying attendance, work completion and variation requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, power or infrastructure.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple equipment vendors during construction and commissioning.
