Vice President - Broker Relationship (Retail) - Dubai

About the role

The Vice President - Broker Relationship (Retail) develops, manages and strengthens strategic relationships with key insurance brokers across the UAE. The role drives profitable growth across the retail insurance portfolio, including Motor, Travel, Home, Medical Malpractice, Personal Accident and other consumer products, and leads a team responsible for broker engagement and portfolio development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with leading UAE insurance brokers, acting as the main point of contact and running regular business reviews, portfolio discussions and performance meetings
• Drive growth in retail insurance products and build a strong sales pipeline to meet revenue and profitability targets
• Lead, mentor and develop the Broker Relationship team, set performance targets and support talent development and succession planning
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Customer Service teams and resolve broker and customer queries promptly
• Analyse broker performance and portfolio profitability, report to senior management and track KPIs, growth metrics and retention ratios
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards, and keep broker documentation, agreements and KYC records accurate

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline
• Professional insurance qualifications (ACII, Cert CII, Dip CII or equivalent) are an advantage
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the UAE insurance market, including at least 2 years managing relationships with multiple UAE insurance brokers and 2 years leading teams
• Proven track record of growing business through broker channels and strong knowledge of retail insurance products
