Vice President - Collections Strategy

About the role

The Vice President – Collections Strategy will lead the end‑to‑end collections function across retail, SME, business and Islamic banking portfolios, driving performance, digital transformation and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute collections strategies across the delinquency lifecycle, balancing recovery, customer fairness and profitability.
• Lead development of AI‑driven decision models, predictive analytics and machine‑learning based treatment designs.
• Drive digital collections channels, including mobile, self‑service journeys and automated outreach.
• Partner with credit risk, policy, underwriting and technology teams to feed collections insights into lending strategy.
• Manage external collection agencies and analytics vendors, establishing scorecards and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory and consumer protection requirements and report to senior committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering or Business Administration; advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, FRM, CFA) are highly desirable.
• 10+ years of experience in collections strategy, credit risk, analytics, portfolio management or consumer lending, with a proven record of using technology to improve recoveries.
• Extensive exposure to retail, SME and Islamic finance products and to predictive modelling and machine‑learning techniques.
