Vice President & Finance Business Partner – Retail Banking

About the role

The Vice President & Finance Business Partner will act as a strategic finance leader for Retail Banking, providing insight, modelling and governance to drive performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial insight and recommendations to support decision‑making across Retail Banking.
• Develop financial strategies, business plans, budgets and monitor performance against targets.
• Manage monthly accounting, reporting, and analysis of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Assess client, product and segment profitability, conduct deep‑dives and identify growth and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Build detailed financial models to evaluate business scenarios and product viability.
• Contribute to executive reporting packs and Retail Business Review materials.
• Track financial and non‑financial KPIs and ensure governance compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Mentor the finance team and oversee financial system implementations in partnership with IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; CMA, CPA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance business partnering experience in banking, preferably Retail Banking with UAE market exposure.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting and Retail Banking products.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insight.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and strategic thinking skills.
