Vice President – Operational Risk & Control

About the role

The Vice President of Operational Risk & Control will lead the design, implementation and oversight of the Operational Risk Framework for Group Operations and Credit Administration. Reporting to the Head of OICG & APM, the role focuses on strengthening risk assessments, internal controls and fostering a risk‑aware culture across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive operational risk strategies to protect the bank’s assets and reputation.
• Design and execute control frameworks ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define risk appetite, tolerance levels and align them with business objectives.
• Provide strategic direction for risk metrics, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and control evaluations, identifying emerging risks and proactive mitigation measures.
• Lead, coach and evaluate a team of managers and supervisors within the OICG department.
• Support recruitment, performance reviews and ensure adherence to anti‑money‑laundering and Central Bank guidelines.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in operational risk management and internal control within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive performance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
