Vice Principal - Al Qattara

About the role

Liwa International School in Al Qattara, Al Ain is looking for a Vice Principal to support the Principal in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school. The role covers teaching and learning, staff development, safeguarding and school operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Principal in strategy and daily management of the school.
• Lead teaching and learning initiatives to promote high academic standards.
• Monitor curriculum implementation, assessment and student achievement.
• Coach, support and evaluate teaching staff to improve performance.
• Drive school improvement planning and accreditation requirements.
• Promote a positive school culture aligned with Liwa Education values.
• Ensure effective behaviour management and student wellbeing practices.
• Lead safeguarding and child protection procedures with the leadership team.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and the wider community.
• Support recruitment, induction and professional development of staff.
• Analyse school performance data to inform decisions and improvement.
• Take responsibility for school operations in the Principal's absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject; Master's in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field preferred.
• Valid teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of successful teaching experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role such as Head of Department, Assistant Principal or Vice Principal.
• Experience with the British Curriculum is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ADEK regulations and school inspection frameworks.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare, and ability to lead a diverse team in a multicultural setting.
